Changes in the school leadership

The school year has started again. On Monday we had a kick-off with the staff, and yesterday, Tuesday, we were able to welcome the pupils back. All in all, a promising start to a great school year! We are looking forward to it.

This academic year there are changes in the composition of our school leadership: two members of the school leadership are leaving the HWC.

Bert Kozijn, our principal, will become Chair of the Executive Board of Tabor College in Hoorn with effect from 1 September. We wish him every success and would like to thank him very warmly for all his dedication and commitment over the past few years. From 1 September, Mr David Asser will temporarily take over the reins. From that moment on, he will be our new principal. The search for a new principal will start shortly.
On Thursday 27 August from 16:00, there will be a farewell reception for Bert Kozijn.

With effect from 8 September, Ms Pauline de Die, team leader of bilingual VWO/HAVO lower school, will no longer be working with us. She will then be joining the Stedelijk Gymnasium in Haarlem. She, too, will be greatly missed. We thank her for her years of commitment to our school, first as an English teacher and later as a team leader. The school leadership has now started the procedure to fill this vacancy. As soon as more is known about this, we will report on it. In the meantime, the duties of team leader will be covered internally.
On Tuesday 8 September from 16:00, the school will say goodbye to Pauline de Die during a reception.

We wish both colleagues the best of luck and thank them for everything they have done for the HWC.
