On 9th April, TTO class 1s went out for the ‘Ancient Egypt’ project. Together with teachers Erik Dijkstra and Amy Akrofi, the pupils discovered how the knowledge of water management possessed by the ancient Egyptians is being used by the Dutch in the Middenpolder in Amstelveen.
They cycled in small groups around the polder, with questions at six locations about the water management elements to be observed at each site.
The weather was good, so it was a successful afternoon of learning!
