This week, we started the entry point activities for our new Adaptability topic. We started by rating our own adaptability skills and then we had to complete the following tasks in groups.
First, we had five minutes to wrap a bottle in newspaper. Then, working in the same groups, we had five more minutes to wrap a chair using newspaper. For this task, we had reduced resources and were not allowed to speak to each other. Finally, we had five more minutes to wrap a PE cone. This time we had ample material, were allowed to talk, but were not allowed to use our hands. While doing so, we were given an additional object to wrap, with no extra time to complete the task.
At the end, we were able to review our adaptability self-assessments and reflect on the different ways we had to adapt to difficult situations during this activity. It was a fun activity that showed us how adaptable and resilient we can be when faced with challenges. Never give up!
