The HWC’s International Crossover Class (ICC) is a vibrant and dynamic learning environment in which we use the International Middle Years 1 curriculum (IMYC) and the Pearson’s Middle Years 1 programs for Inspire English International and Maths Progress International to teach our class of international students from the Amstelveen region.
The class teacher, John Frick, is originally from South Africa and has taught in British and International schools for over 25 years. Sarah Stone is our ICC teaching assistant. She is an English language specialist originally from the UK.
Although all our subjects are taught in English, we value the diverse international nature and the languages spoken of our students. In addition, our students receive a minimum of one hour of Dutch per day, taught by our Dutch teaching staff.
