ICC takes a journey through the body
On Tuesday the 26th of September, the ICC paid a visit to the Corpus Museum near Leiden to learn more about the human body and the brain in particular, as we are currently busy with our Brainwave topic. The visit consisted of an interactive audio tour through the body, stopping at key parts and organs in the body to find out exactly how they work and function with other organs. It also explained very clearly how the brain processes all the stimuli we receive. Although we receive stimuli through our sensory organs and nerves, it is our brain that allows us to make sense of them.
After completing the guided tour, we were able to explore the wonderful exhibits and interactive activities on all the floors of the museum while searching for the answers to a fun quiz. Before we knew it, it was time to head back to school. It is true that, as they say, time flies when you’re having fun!
